The industry was granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH2/2025/28412801 dated 15/05/2025 valid upto 31/03/2026 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH2/2025/26288545 dated 03/03/2025 valid upto 02/09/2025 under orange category with special conditions that :-
1. The industry shall use only those liquid fuels which are permitted under the Fuel policy notified vide no. 10/64/2020-STE4/469 dated 04.10.2023.
2. The industry shall get its air emissions sample analysed from Board's Lab within one month.
Thereafter, the industry was visited by the Er. Amit Kumar, EE & Er. Gurwinder Kaur, AEE on 31.12.2025 and it was observed as under : -
1. The industry was operational & engaged in the process of manufacturing of tractor parts.
2. The industry has installed 100 KLD STP for treatment of domestic effluent. The industry does not produce any trade effluent. The industry is using RO permeate water into machinery & RO reject water onto land for plantation.
3. Three no samples from RO reject were collected and as per the analysis report pH = 8.2, TSS = 10 mg/l, TDS = 2782 mg/l, COD = 180 mg/l, BOD = 42 mg/l, Oil & Grease = BDL, which is within prescribed limits of the Board.
4. The industry has installed one DG set of capacity 365 KVA with canopy & adequate stack height.
5. The industry has installed several shot blast machines equipped with bag filter as APCD. One no sample was collected from the stack of shot blast and as per the analysis report PM is 135 mg/NM3, which is within prescribed limit of the Board.
6. The industry has installed heat treatment furnaces (normalizing furnaces) with low sulphur fuel oil as fuel. 06 hammers have been installed with 06 induction heaters.
7. The industry has provided one common hazardous waste room, no HW was stored during visit.
8. The industry has also installed 01 heat treatment furnace using LSFO fuel in which hardening & tempering is done. Adequate stack was provided.
As such the industry is complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite document. The industry has deposited Water Fee: Rs. 7,38,500/- e-R No. S15803206 dated 11.03.2026 under Water Act, 1974 & Rs. 7,38,500/- e-R No. S16547479 dated 11.03.2026 under Air Act, 1981 as consent fee against the un-depreciated fixed assets of Rs. 15500.68 Lacs as per CA Certificate dated 31/12/2025, which are adequate upto 31.03.2031 under the both Acts as per Board's Office Order dated 29/10/2018. The site of the industry falls in industrial zone as per Khasra number mentioned in gazzete notification.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that renewal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 31.03.2031 with usual conditions, please.
