It is submitted that (i) the proposed investment in machinery is ₹4418.75 lakhs and, as per the Board’s policy, it falls under the Large category. However, the representative informed that on the Invest Punjab Portal, the category of the industry was auto-selected as Medium scale, as the portal considers investments from ₹25 crore to ₹125 crore as Medium scale. Considering the industry as large scale Green category industry, the competency is of Chief Environment Engineer.
(ii) Further, the industry has submitted NOC from M/s Punjab Agri Export Corporation Ltd (PAECL) which mentions that industry can discharge its trade effluent into PAECL’s ETP as per clause 15 of the lease deed submitted. The NOC from PAECL also mentions that “PAECL’s current ETP has excess capacity to treat output from JAEPL’s proposed manufacturing facility”. Further, M/s PAECL has already installed 150 KLD CETP and was granted CTO under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/FZL/2025/29200402 dated 04.09.2025 and valid till 31.12.2025.
(iii) The industry is proposed to be established in the premises of already existing industry M/s Punjab Agri Export Corporation Ltd (PAECL) as PAECL has leased it’s 19 Kanal 18 Marla land for establishment of this new industry.
