It is submitted that the industry is a small-scale orange (102.3 Forging of ferrous and non - ferrous metals using electricity) category unit.
Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS for manufacturing of BICYCLE CHAIN WHEEL @ 2.13 MTD and AUTO COMPONENTS @ 2.38 MTD.
The industry has deposited Rs. 10800/- vide R.No. 823710991 dated 10.01.2026 as NOC fees, which is adequate upto one year against gross value of fixed assets Rs. 336.95 Lacs.
To verify the facts, the industry was visited by the Er. Ridham, AEE of this office on 02.04.2026 and it was observed as under: -
1. The building lying vacant and machinery was yet to be install.
2. As per project report, the industry proposed to install 01 no. hot forging press of 600 tons capacity and power presses and other allied machinery.
3. As per application form, the trade effluent generated by the industry will be recirculated and only domestic effluent will be discharged into sewer.
4. As per project report, no DG set/furnace/boiler will be installed by the industry.
5. The industry has submitted lease deed as proof of ownership.
6. The industry has submitted layout plan approved by the Competent person.
7. The industry is located in designated industrial zone as per Master Plan, Ludhiana i.e., Phase-7, Focal Point, Ludhiana.
As such the industry is complying with the provisions of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981.
Keeping the above in view, it is recommended the consent to establish under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and under the Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of BICYCLE CHAIN WHEEL @ 2.13 MTD and AUTO COMPONENTS @ 2.38 MTD may be granted to the industry up to one year with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
