The industry has submitted a Change of Land Use (CLU) certificate issued by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (Housing Branch-2), Punjab vide letter no. 6912 dated 05.07.2005, permitting conversion from agricultural use to industrial use.
Further, the Master Plan of Barnala for the period 2021–2041 has been notified on 08.10.2024. As per the notified Master Plan, the location of the industry falls within the area designated as “existing industrial,” thereby supporting the case for grant of long-term Consent to Operate (CTO).
The industry has deposited a fee of Rs. 2,52,000/- each under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide receipt numbers 411148916 and 520547859 dated 28.02.2025. The deposited fee is adequate and valid up to 31.03.2029
The industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 31.03.2029 with suitable conditions for Manufacturing & Assembling of Combine Harvester @ 3000 Nos /annum, Tractors @ 34 nos /day, Hydraulic Crane/Excavator @ 1500 Nos /annum and Two/Three/Four wheelers @ 24000 nos /annum with suitable conditions and special conditions as already mentioned vide previous note pls |
