The case has been examined with reference to the facts mentioned above and the recommendations made by EE, ZO. The project is an existing group housing complex holding Environmental Clearance and previous valid consents, with sewage treatment and allied pollution control systems reportedly in operation. Inspection findings indicate that treated effluent parameters are within prescribed norms, reuse/disposal arrangements exist, and no substantive violation has been brought on record. The clarification issued by SEIAA regarding discharge of treated wastewater into public sewer also forms part of record.
In view of the above, it is recommended that the validity of Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be extended up to 31.03.2029, as recommended by EE, ZO, subject to strict compliance of conditions as mentioned in the attached file.
