Sir,
• It is intimated that the industry is a small scale red category unit and competency lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Jalandhar.
• The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for Various items Zinc on Job Basis @ 1 T/day by using Zinc @ 10 kgs/day and Chemicals @ 5 kgs/day as raw material.
• The industry has submitted proprietorship undertaking and Registry of land with the application.
• The industry has submitted approved building plan from competent person under Factories act with the application.
• The industry has submitted a letter issued by MTP, M.C Jalandhar vide letter no 1334 dated 26.09.2025 mentioning that the area of the industry falls in general industrial zone as per Master Plan 2009-2031. Red Category industry is allowed in this zone as per Master Plan.
• The industry has submitted agreement with CETP operator M/s JBR Technology Ldh for lifting of its trade effluent generated from the process @ 2500 ltr/month.
• The industry has submitted the affidavit, self-declaration with application.
The industry was visited by Er. Sunny Singh AEE of this office on 20.04.2026 and it was observed that:
1. The industry was in operation during visit and engaged plating of various items Zinc on job basis. The plating section was in operation during visit.
2. The unit has installed 04 nos. barrels for plating at site.
3. The industry has provided water meter on pipeline carrying fresh water in the plating section.
4. The industry has provided 01 plastic tank of capacity 2500 ltr for storage of its trade effluent generated from plating process. During visit the tank was found almost empty.
5. The industry is maintaining record of water consumption in process and lifting of trade effluent by CETP operator which was found in order.
6. The domestic effluent generated within the premises is being discharged into MC sewer directly.
7. The industry neither installed any air polluting machinery nor D.G set in its premises.
Recommendation:- Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that if approved, fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto 30.06.2030 with usual conditions as per policy of the Board
