File Note: It is intimated that earlier, consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted to the industry vide no. CTOW/Fresh/GRP/2025/ 29224766 & CTOA/Fresh/GRP/2025/29092136 dated 29/07/2025, which were valid upto 31/03/2026 under Green Category. Now, the Authority has applied renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 under Green Category. The project proponent has submitted various documents, which are enclosed along with the application, which may kindly be pursued. The project is developed for efficient operations and seamless services for both pilgrims and government agencies, a fully-equipped Integrated Check Post (ICP) has been established at the corridor. The ICP includes a range of critical infrastructure components tailored to the functional and security requirements of the facility. The project is developed & maintained by Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affair, Land Port Authority of India. The Authority has also submitted building plan approved by Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affair, Land Port Authority of India. The unit has installed STP of capacity 180 KLD for treatment of domestic effluent generated from it and same is discharged onto land for plantation area approx. 5000 Sqm. The Authority has deposited Rs. 2,11,700/- vide online UTR No. RBISH00480924445 dated 30/03/2026 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 same are adequate for a period upto 31/03/2027 under both Acts. The Authority was visited by Er. Vinod Kumar, AEE on 22/04/2026 and observed as under:- 1. The project is religious Kartarpur Sahib Corridor that greatly enhances access for pilgrimage, particularly for Darshan at the revered Gurudwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib Ji. 2. During visit it observed that the corridor was not in operaion. The representative informed that the corridor has been closed by Ministry of Defense, Govt. of India from last 01-year due to Indo pak disturbance and presently no any pilgrimage is visiting. 3. There is no generation of domestic effluent presently due to non-operation of the corridor. However, the unit has installed STP of capacity 180 KLD for treatment of domestic effluent and same is being discharged onto land for plantation area approx. 5000 Sqm. 4. The Authority has installed 02 nos. DG set of capacity 12520 KVA each which are provided with canopy. 5. There is no source of trade effluent. The project falls under Green category in Large scale sector, hence competency to decide the case lies with the Senior Environmental Engineer. In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be extended upto 31/03/2027 with suitable conditions.
