Discussed by SEE, ZP-1 with the competent authority on 23.04.2026 and it was deliberated that the competent authority had already given approval for giving personal hearing to the unit in lieu of the violations reported by the RO, in the renewal application under the Water Act, 1974. Therefore, in consideration of the facts reported in the note of the undersigned dated 06.03.2026 and 09.03.2026; if approved, the competent authority be recommended as under: A. The applications of the industry for renewal of consents to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be refused after affording an opportunity of personal hearing before the competent authority. B. Notice to issue directions u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air Act, 1981 be issued for taking stringent action against the violating unit. C. An explanation be sought from the Environmental Engineer, SAS Nagar for giving reasons for carrying out visit to the unit consecutively on 25.02.2026 while the unit was already visited by the Asst.
