After perusal the report given by the RO,it was observed that earlier the industry was granted varied consents to operate under Water Act.1974 and Air Act, 1981 on 26.12.2025, both are valid upto 10.06.2026 for manufacturing of Repaired Transformers @ 12 Numbers/Day G.O. Switch @ 30 Numbers/Day by using Old Transformer for Repair @ 12 Numbers/Day MS Steel Angle, Channel, Flat Steel @ 1.0 T/day. The electricity connection was restored for six months but has not restored permanently
The industry has been granted 'Consents to Establish'(Expansion) under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act,1974 & the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, on 30/01/2026 with validity upto 29/01/2027 for Repairing Transformers@ 12 No./ day, G.O. Switch @ 30 No./day and Electrical Goods@ 1.2 Ton/day .
Now, the industry had applied for varied 'Consents to Operate' under the
Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & the Air (Prevention
& Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, for the manufacturing of Repaired
Transformers@ 12 No./ day, G.O. Switch @ 30 No./day and Electrical
Goods@ 1.2 Ton/day .
The industry was visited by the officer of the board on 30..3 .2026 and observed that the industry was found in operation. The industry has constructed a painting spray room provided with common wet scrubber as APCD and adequate stack height. The industry has recently constructed three brick masonry pits (10 ft × 3 ft × 3ft) for pickling of MS material using HCl acid. The industry has installed one zinc galvanizing furnace equipped with common a wet scrubber (APCD) and adequate stack height.
From the above, it is evident that the industry is complying with the
provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention &
Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and decisions taken during personal hearing.
If approved, it is recommended that :
1.varied ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 may be granted to the industry for shorter period of six months with validity upto 31.10.2026 under the name & style of “ M/s J.R. Transformers” located at Bajakhana Road, Barnala, Punjab for the manufacturing of Repaired Transformers@ 12 No./ day, G.O. Switch @ 30 No./day and Electrical
Goods@ 1.2 Ton day by using Old Transformer for Repair @ 12 No./day, Aluminum
@ 200 Kgs/day and MS Iron @ 1.0 Ton/day and zinc as raw material , with subject
to general and following special conditions.:
a. The industry shall submit air emission sampling report from the Board lab within one month.
b. The industry shall maintain the record of fresh water consumption, waste water lifted by the treatment facility on daily basis.
2. Electric connection of the industry may be restored for another six month upto 31.10.2026.
