After perusal the report given by the RO, it was observed that the industry is engaged in manufacturing of plastic pipe by using plastic gitta . Earlier the unit was given hearing before SEE on 22.1.2026 and decided taht:
1. The industry shall install adequate & appropriate APCD with the extruder for treatment & control of emissions generated from the process within 15 days so as to achieve prescribed limits at all times.
2. The industry shall apply for obtaining consents to operate of the Board under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 under renewal mode within one month and shall ensure not to apply for renewal of consents under auto generated renewal mode.
3. The industry shall submit bank guarantee amounting to Rs. 25,000/- as an assurance to comply with the above said decisions within 15 days.
4. Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Sangrur shall verify the contentions made by the industry during hearing, process the consent application and send the report/ recommendations, accordingly after one month
Now the industry has applied for obtaining CTO of teh Board and the site was visited by Er. Gurmehar Singh (AEE) OS on 07.04.2026 and it was observed that the industry was not in operation.The industry has installed wet scrubber as APCD along with the stack over extruder for the control of emissions arising from its operation. The industry has submitted the Bank Gurantee amounting Rs. 25,000/- vide no. 5002926BG0B00001 dated 19.02.2026 valid upto 16.02.2027. Hence the unit is complying with CTO condition as well as decision of hearing dated 22.1.2026.
If approved, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2030 for manufacturing of the HDPE pipe @ 80 MT/Year by using Plastic gitta @ 80 MT/Year as raw material with suitable conditions of the Board.
