It is submitted that, the workshop has installed only one DG set of 63 kVA capacity on its terrace in open, the said D.G Set is also equipped with canopy and adequate stack height and is using HSD as fuel. The DG set is strictly operated only during power failure.........No other air polluting/emission source/machinery was observed installed in the unit during visit...........Further, the unit has applied for authorization under the Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016, and the same is under process............Hence, the workshop is complying with the provisions of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and the relevant stipulated consent conditions as applicable to its activity........... Keeping in view of above it is recommended that Consent to Operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the workshop upto 30.09.2031 with suitable conditions and the following special conditions that: 1. The unit shall operate strictly within the consented washing capacity of 50 two-wheelers/day and shall maintain proper daily records of number of vehicles serviced/washed and produce the same to the Board as and when required. 2. The workshop shall comply with the provisions of the Master Plan, Ludhiana, as amended from time to time and shall not undertake any expansion/modernization inside its premises that leads to increase in the pollution load of the workshop, and shall not undertake any expansion/modernization beyond its premises at any cost...........
