Kindly peruse the facts given by EE, ZO. The industry has failed to shift its unit on ZLD as per the earlier timeline given to the industry. Now, the competent authority of the Board decided in e-office vide number 358047 that a final timeline up to 30.06.2026 is granted for completion of ZLD installation or shifting and decided that hearings shall be conducted by the Worthy Chairperson for large scale units and by the Member Secretary for small and medium scale units to review progress and obtain written undertakings for time-bound compliance, failing which appropriate action shall be taken. The industry is large scale as such, the hearing is to be given before the worthy Chairperson of Board
In view of facts mentioned above, it is recommended that notice for refusal of consent under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and Air act, 1981 may be issued and Notice to issue directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 as well as notice for imposition of EC may be issued to the industry with hearing before worthy Chairperson of Board being a large scale unit, please.
