1.....As per the decision dated 12.03.2025, the industry was directed to submit a Bank Guarantee of Rs. 2.0 lakh as an assurance that it would not carry out any dyeing process, as committed during the said hearing. The industry neither submitted the Bank Guarantee nor stopped the dyeing process. 2.....Had the Bank Guarantee been submitted at that time, it would have been encashed for non-compliance.
3.....The Bank Guarantee has now been submitted. It is to be encashed due to the stated violation, i.e., continuation of the dyeing process despite the commitment.
4....For the future, and considering past experience, a Bank Guarantee of at least Rs. 5.0 lakh may be imposed this time as a deterrent. This will be against the fresh commitment that the industry will not carry out dyeing and will undertake only washing activity. ZO shall obtain this Bank Guarantee before issuing the restoration order.
5...The AEE of the area shall maintain regular surveillance and shall be held responsible if the industry is found carrying out the dyeing process.
6.....Temporary restoration for six months may be allowed, subject to the above conditions. |
