In view of the above, .....It is recommended that the SPV (Bahadurke Textile & Knitwear Association – CETP 15 MLD) may be given an oppertunity for a personal hearing before the Chairperson of the Board to explain its position regarding its failure to comply with the hearing decisions as well as environmental law , with the proposed directions mentioned in the notice issued to SPV vide letter no. 4099 to 4101 dated 27.06.2025.( w.r.t 1. Notice to issue directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, as amended in 1988 ) ..... 2. Show cause notice for Refusal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 with an oppertunity personal hearing befor Chairperson of Board ........A separate notice for the further imposition of Environmental Compensation (EC) may be issued as not complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974, and directions issued by the Board with an oppertunity personal hearing before the Chairperson of the Board............. A formal reminder be issued to the Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, regarding the recovery of the previously imposed EC . .............Permission be granted to file a formal complaint against the CETP and its responsible officers before the Adjudicating Officer in accordance with the penalty framework of the amended Water Act, 2024....... Further, if approved, SPV may be directed to circulate a copy of this notice to all its member units for their information and awareness.
