It is submitted that the point wise reply to the additional conditions of the consent to operate granted to the project proponent is given below:

1. The project proponent shall properly handle and manage the solid waste as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated into biodegradable and non-biodegradable components. The project proponent shall provide in-house arrangements for treatment of solid waste such as bio-methanization, microbial composting, vermicomposting, anaerobic digestion or any other appropriate processing for bio-stabilization of waste and the non-biodegradable solid waste shall also be disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. The compliance of the same shall be submitted by the project proponent to the O/o Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board, Regional Office, SAS Nagar within 2-months. At present, 35 % SCOs are occupied and there is very less generation of solid waste and the project proponent is disposing its MSW to Municipal Corporation.
2. The project proponent shall apply for obtaining consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 within 7-days. As per compliance report submitted, the project proponent submitted that there is no DG set or any other air polluting activity.
3. The project proponent shall also ensure that the hazardous waste and e-waste components of the solid waste shall also be segregated and the same shall be channelized to the authorized facility for such type of waste. Notified to the project proponent for ensuring compliance. During visit, no hazardous or e-waste was found stored at site.
4. The manure to be prepared shall be utilized in the green area to be developed by the project proponent and shall keep a record of the same. Notified to the project proponent for ensuring compliance. Further, during visit, no manure was observed at the site.
