File Note: 1. Respected Sir, as per note of AEE dated 18.04.2026 the industry was in operational during the visit and engaged in process of CI Casting. 2. The industry has installed induction furnace of capacity @ 100 Kg/Hour and cyclone separator as a APCD. 3. Emission samples have been collected from the stack of the APCD and sent to Air lab for analysis. As per the analysis report received from the Air Lab the concentration of the SPM has found to be 136 mg/Nm3 which is within the prescribed limit of the 150 mg/ as prescribed by the board. 4. The domestic effluent is being discharged into MC sewer after passing through septic tank. 5. The industry has provided the hazardous waste storage room for the storage of APCD dust and is maintaining the record of same on regular basis. However, the industry has not made any agreement with authorized re-cycler for disposal of the same. 6. The industry is not using magnet for feeding of scrap in the crucible, only manual feeding is carried out. 7. The industry is using fresh scrap in its induction furnace. 8. The industry has not applied for obtaining authorization under the Hazardous and Other Waste (Management & Transboundary Movement Rules), 2016 till date. Now, the industry has provided an agreement with authorized re-cycler (NIMBUA Green Field Punjab Limited) for disposal of dust generated from bag-filters of the APCD and record of the same is being maintained by the industry. Now, the industry has obtained the Authorization under the Hazardous Waste Management Rules,2016 through auto-renewal mode vide no. HWM/Renewal/SGR/2026/31888359 dated 30/04/2026 Valid upto 30/04/2031. The industry is using fresh scrap in its induction furnace. The industry is not using magnet for feeding of scrap in the crucible, only manual feeding is carried out. The industry has provided sampling platform along with the stack for the collection of air emission sample. Side hood technology with its APCD has been provided by the industry. During visit it was observed that the stack height of the industry above roof level is approx. 3-4 metre and ground level is approx. 30 feet. No fresh complaint has been received in this office. In view of above, it is evident that the industry is now complying with the Water Act, 1974, the Air Act, 1981 and as well as hearing decisions. Therefore, it is recommended that the Consents to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for six months i.e. upto 30.11.2026. for manufacturing of CI CASTING @ 0.5 Metric Tonnes/Day by using MS SCRAP @ 0.6 Metric Tonnes/Day as a raw material under the orange category & type- 104.2 Induction furnace/arc furnace with suitable conditions of the Board and with special conditions as under: - 1. The Consents to Operate granted under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 shall be revoked/cancelled if a complaint against the industry is received regarding violating the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981.
