File Note: The industry was not complying with the provisions of Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. Thereafter, the industry was given personal hearing before your good self on 30.05.2016. After hearing it was decided that AEE shall visit the industry to verify the contention of the industry and shall process the case on merits. The decisions of the hearing were conveyed to the industry vide this office letter no. 3281 dated 31.05.2016. In compliance to the decision of the hearing, the rice sheller was again visited by JEE of this office on 04.07.2016 to check the observation observed on 12.05.2016 and observed that i) The industry is located on National Highway-71, Narwana Road and was not in operation due to off season. ii) The roads for the movement of the vehicles inside the sheller premises upto rice room, shelling shed and rice husk storage area are brick paved roads. iii) The industry has now provided proper rice husk storage facilities with inside the factory premises and discharge point of the rice husk pipe was around 3.5 feet below the height of brick wall infront discharge point. v)The industry has provided brick wall in front of the rice husk discharge point approximately of 70 feet length and height of 10 feet and has provided wind screen on height 5 feet above the brick wall. The industry has provided iron sheet of approximately 50 feet length 16 feet height. v) The heap of rice husk kept in the storage facility was very less in quantity and was covered. vi) The domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation after septic tank. New plants have been planted and cleaning of plantation area has been also done. The industry is complying with the conditions new code of practice notified by Govt. Notification no. 10/48/2004-STE (4) /932 dated. 15/10/2013 and provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. The industry has not got its stack emission samples analyzed by Board / Board's approved lab. Further, the industry is now complying with the decisions of the hearing. Keeping above in view, it is recommended that 1. Fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto 30.06.2021 with suitable conditions & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, may be renewed up to 30.06.2017 with usual conditions and special condition that the industry will get stack emission analyzed from Board/Board's approved lab in the next paddy processing season. 2. Action proposed against the industry may be dropped and proceedings may be filed.
