No. R.O-II/LDH/CON/IND/1191 Recommendations:- It is intimated that the industry is a small scale drawing unit involving pickling process. The industry was given personal hearing before Chief Environmental Engineer of the Board on 11.07.2016 and the decision of the hearing are pending in this office.
Now, the industry has applied for ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith documents.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office 11.07.2016 & observed that:-
1. The industry was in operation & engaged in drawing of M.S. Rounds involving pickling process.
2. The industry has signed agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana @ 2400 Ltr/M for the treatment & disposal of trade effluent generated from process.
3. The industry has provided PVC Tank of capacity @2000ltrs for the storage of tread effluent generated from the process. During visit app. 500 ltrs effluent lying stored in it.
4. The industry has provided water meter in the process area.
5. The industry is maintaining the record of quantity of trade effluent generated & effluent lifted by CETP operator.
6. Only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer.
7. The industry has been commenced from 2005 as per Vat-4 certificate submitted by the industry.
8. The industry has submitted approved building plan from architect approved by Director of Factories, PB.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that the consent under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2018 special condition that, "the industry will submit the permission to operate its industrial unit from Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana."
