File Note: As discussed with your good self on 17/07/2016, it is intimated that the industry has applied for NOC for installation of induction furnace of capacity 100 Kg/heat. The industry has deposited Rs. 1800/- vide R. no. 26/4212 dated 8/7/2016 as NOC fee, which is adequate as per Board's Office Order dated 18/7/2013.   Accordingly, the industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 14/7/2016 and it was observed as under:- 1. The site of industry is located in Mughal Majra, which is declared industrial zone as per the Master Plan of Mandi Gobindgarh. General siting guidelines are applicable to the industry and site of industry is suitable 2. The industry has proposed one no. induction furnace of capacity 100 Kg/heat equipped with bag filter as APCD alongwith stack of adequate height with proper sampling arrangements. 3. The clean scrap like Steel & CI scrap etc will be used as raw material. The industry has proposed to provide duct with water cooling jacket, so as to cool the gas flow to decrease the gas temperature to less than 1200C as mentioned in the feasibility report. Therefore, cyclone and spark arrestor has not been proposed by the industry. 4. The industry has installed induction furnace of cap. 100 Kg, but the same has yet not been commissioned. 5. The industry has also proposed to install one no. heat treatment furnace (annealing furnace), F.O fired, which will be equipped with stack of adequate height. 6. In addition to this the industry has proposed to install one no. shot blasting machine, which will be equipped with in built bag filter house as APCD. 7. The industry has proposed to install 1 no. D.G. set of capacity 25 KVA, which will be equipped with canopy and stack of adequate height. 8. No water will be used in the process except water to be used for cooling, which will be recirculated, therefore no trade effluent will be generated. 9. Domestic effluent generated will be discharged onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank. The industry has obtained change of land for agriculture to industrial from Department of Town & Country Planning, Punjab vide STP, SAS Nagar letter no. 2446 dated 3/7/2015. It is also intimated that Amloh Block is notified as per CGWA Guidelines. The industry is not water intensive and earlier there was workshop established in the year 2008 and is also having existing submersible pump of 1" dia as informed by the industry vide its reply of clarification raised through OCMMS. The industry has also attached the copy of electricity bill of year 2009 as evidence. As the industry is not water intensive and is having old existing borewell, it is, therefore, recommended that the industry may be allowed to abstract groundwater for cooling purposes and domestic purposes from its existing borewell. In view of the above, if approved, recommendations may be sent to SEE, Zonal Office-II, Patiala through OCMMS that NOC for installation of Induction Furnace of capacity 100 Kg/heat alongwith heat treatment furnace and shot blasting machine may be granted to the industry with suitable conditions.
