Earlier, the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 Vide no. R14LDH3CTOW854252 dated 12.03.2014, and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. R14LDH3CTOA924176 dated 12.03.2014, which were expired on 30.06.2016. The said industry is engaged in the Zinc plating of cycle parts and is entered in the inventory of this office at serial no. LDH/RO-3/R/S-689.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 along with requisite documents i.e. Latest CA certificate, copy of previous consents, compliance report of previous consent conditions, copy of agreement with CETP operator, continuity certificate from ATP, M.C, Ludhiana alongwith application form.
The site of the industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 18.06.2016 & it was observed that:-
1. The industry is engaged in the process of plating of cycle parts. The industry has installed following machinery in the premises.
2. The industry has installed following machinery:-
Zinc barrels (2 nos.)
Caustic barrels (2 nos.).
3. The industry does not any source of air pollution, however, as per the representative of the industry, a DG set will be installed in the premises shortly.
4. The industry exists in non designated area and the industry has submitted continuity certificate from the competent authority.
In the view above, It is recommended that consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2018.
