The Environmental Engineer Regional Office Batala has submitted as under:
1. The project proponent has installed STP just two month back, hence the consumption of fresh water and generation of effluent during six months period cannot be given. The project proponent has installed water meter at the final outlet of STP and the project proponent is procuring water from outside sources through tankers.
2. The project proponent has developed horticulture area in an 0.77 acres of land for the utilization of treated effluent.
3. The details regarding handling/disposal of solid waste is separate legal requirement since it comes under Municipal Solid Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2000.
As per record the hotel has 34 rooms, a swimming pool and a spa. So it must have its own source of water supply i.e. submersible etc..
In the hearing dated 21/01/2016, Ld. CEE has already decided that the project proponent shall make adequate arrangements for disposal of Municipal Solid waste. So either the project proponent should have these arrangements of its own or should submit written permission from concerned municipal council for disposal of its solid waste at municipal dump site. Further as per datasheet of sample dated 11/05/2016, water meter at the outlet of Sewage Treatment Plant is not installed but as per present report water meter is there.
The CLU is for establishment of marriage palace/resort, whereas the project proponent has established hotel as per agenda note. The project proponent is required to submit clarification from concerned department as to the said CLU is also valid for establishment of hotel.
So if approved Environmental Engineer Regional Office Batala may be asked to visit the project afresh personally and resubmit the report/case with clarifications as above and also with written permission of concerned municipal council for disposal of solid waste of the project at its dump site.
