It is intimated that the subject cited industry has applied for obtaining consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for the process of washing and servicing of cars.
The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 03/08/2016 and observed as under:-
1. The industry is an auto service station engaged in a process of washing and servicing of vehicles of maruti make.
2. During visit the auto service station was in operation.
3. The Service Station has installed the ETP comprising of Oil & Grease Trap- Effluent Collection Tank → Clarifloculator → Filter Feed Tank→ Dual Media Pressure Filter and entire treated trade effluent is being stored in underground pakka storage tank for reusing it back into the process.
4. The industry has installed one no. D.G set of capacity 62.5 KVA, which is provided with canopy.
It is further intimated that the industry has submitted completion certificate of ETP as per which the ETP of capacity of 10 KLD has been installed. The industry has also submitted a copy of approved building plan from Govt. approved architect. The industry has also deposited Rs. 2000/- vide DD. No. 354225 dated 27/07/2016 as NOC regularization fee. The industry has submitted a copy of electricity bill as a proof of date of commissioning of the unit. The industry is an existing unit and in operation/commissioned prior to the notification of the Master Plan, Gurdaspur, which was notified vide No. 6039/CTP/SGI dated 08/11/2012, hence the operation of the unit at the said site is allowed in the light of latest policy of the Board circulated vide Head Office letter no. 19650-19761 dated 30/04/2013. In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30/09/2021 in the light of latest policy of the Board circulated vide Head Office letter no. 19650-19761 dated 30/04/2013.
