It is intimated that earlier consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 were extended upto 31/03/2015 vide Zonal Office, Amritsar letter no. 2906 & 2904 dated 08/05/2012 respectively. Now the industry has applied for obtaining further extension in validity of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry was visited by undersigned on 29/07/2016 and observed as under:-
1. The industry is engaged in a process of manufacturing of conduit pipes from Iron sheets.
2. During visit the industry was not in operation.
3. The manufacturing process involved is as under:-
Pipe Rolling-Welding-Threading-Painting.
4. There is no source of trade effluent and entire water used for cooling purpose is totally recirculated.
5. The industry has provided closed chamber/room fitted with electric heater for drying of painted surface.
It is further intimated that the gross value of fixed assets of the industry has been increased from Rs. 21.20 Lacs as on 31/03/2011 to Rs. 23,00,778/- as on 31/03/2016 and this increase in value of fixed assets is due to additions of weighing machine. The industry has deposited Rs. 600/- vide cheque No. 000653 dtd 05/08/2016 as NOC regularization fee.
It is pertinent to mention here that the industry is complying with the conditions of consent to operate granted earlier under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. (Agenda Note is also attached herewith).
In view of above, it is recommended that Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be extended upto 30/09/2021 in the light of latest policy of the Board circulated vide Head Office letter no. 19650-19761 dated 30/04/2013.
