No. R.O-II/LDH/CON/IND/1393 Recommendations:- It is intimated that the industry is a small scale orange category unit. The industry was given personal hearing before Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board on 25.05.2016, wherein it was decided that:-
1. The industry will provide adequate stack height with hood.
2. Regional Office will pursue the industry to provide adequate stack height with hood and also pursue the industry to apply for consents.
Now, the industry has applied for ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith documents. The calculation of fees is as under(Details attached in agenda note)
Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office 24.08.2016 & observed that:-
1. The industry was in operation & engaged in forging of auto parts.
2. The industry has installed 1 furnace oil fired forging furnace.
3. The industry has installed new chimney of height about 40’, which is adequate.
4. There is no generation of trade effluent and only domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.
5. The industry has submitted bill dated 09.06.2016 regarding purchase of furnace for end forging. The representative of the industry submitted that as the forging has been started from June, 2016, consent fees is being paid from Jun, 2016.
6. The industry has submitted building plan from architect approved by Director of Factories, PB.
7. The site of the industry falls in Industrial Area-B.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consents under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2020 with usual conditions.
