The industry is listed at Sr. No. 01584 of inventory prepared by Regional Office, Jalandhar. The industry is small scale orange category and the competency of case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office, Jalandhar.
The marriage palace has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.The marriage palace was visited by the AEE of this office on 22-08-2016 and observed that:-
1. The industry is a marriage palace and was not in operation during visit as there was no function.
2. The marriage palace has not installed any STP to treat domestic effluent generated from process.
3. The domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation/irrigation after oil & grease trap followed by septic tanks which is adequate.
4. The marriage palace has installed 1 no. D.G set of capacity 500 KVA without canopy.
5. The marriage palace has submitted CLU certificate for land measuring 2.21 acres at Village Dosanjh Kalan, Tehsil Goraya, Phillaur, Jalandhar vide letter no. 1524 dated 28-03-2013.
6. The marriage palace has commissioned since 2014 as per copy of partnership deed submitted by the marriage palace.
As per office order issued by Head Office, Patiala vide letter no.SEE(HQ-2)/2016/26641-59 dated 12.05.16, it has been decided by Competent Authority of the Board that the marriage palace may be issued consent to operate for the period for which the consent fee has been deposited by the owner of marriage palace with condition that the marriage palace owner shall provide adequate oil & grease trap followed by well designed septic tank as well as canopy on DG set etc before the next marriage season i.e. by Sept 2016 and further they will install the ETP as per the treatment methodology finalized by the Board within a period of 6 months thereafter. The marriage palace has deposited consent fee under Water Act 1974 & Air Act, 1981 adequate upto 30.09.2021.
I had checked the documents uploaded by the industry personally and verified the same. I had personally checked the industry registration detail and found correct. I had personally verified the online submission of consent fee and linking with online portal of the Board.
It is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 may be granted to the marriage palace upto 30.09.2021 with suitable conditions and special condition that the marriage palace owner shall provide adequate oil & grease trap followed by well designed septic tank as well as canopy on DG set etc before the next marriage season i.e. by Sept 2016 and further they will install the ETP as per the treatment methodology finalized by the Board within a period of 6 months thereafter.correct. I had personally verified the online submission of consent fee and linking with online portal of the Board.
