The subject cited brick kiln was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution)Act, 1981 vide No. ASR/APC/F-207 dt 01/05/2001, which was valid up to 30/04/2016.
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining consent to operate under Air(Prevention & Control of Pollution)Act, 1981. The industry has deposited Rs. 9000/- vide R. N. 75/4522 dt 03/10/2016 as consent fee under Air(Prevention & Control of Pollution)Act to make the fee adequate, up to 31/03/2022, against the fixed assets below Rs. 25 lacs as per C.A. Certificate submitted by it. The Brick kiln has submitted Approved Building Plan prepared by competent person approved under the Punjab Factory act, 1948. The industry has submit a request letter in which stated that at the time of brick kiln is not in operation, so air emission report has not been submit alongwith application. The Brick kiln has submit a lease deed, which is valid up to 01/10/2020.
The subject cited brick kiln was visited by AEE of this office on 30/09/2016 and observed that:-
a. The brick kiln was not in operation.
b. The brick kiln has provided fresh plantation along with the existing plantation the boundary.
c. The brick kiln has stabilized approach roads within the premises of the industry with keri.
d. The brick kiln has provided pulverizer for crushing of coal.
e. The brick kiln has provided adequate sampling arrangements.
May, if approved the consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 granted to the brick kiln for a period up to 30.09.2020 as per Head office, officer orders no. 346 dt. 01/08/2016 under Orange Category with special condition that:-
i. The BKO will obtain Environmental Clearance under EIA notification for mining of Brick Clay to be used as raw material for the manufacture of Bricks.
ii. The BKO will submit air emission report within two months or the BKO will submit completion certificate of gravity settling chamber from Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, Chandigarh.
