File No. RO-II/LDH/CON/IND/1864: The industry has applied for the fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 through online system alongwith requisite documents. Accordingly, the site of the industry was visited by the Er. Kuldeep Singh, AEE on 01.11.2016 and it was observed as under :-
1. The industry was in operation during the visit and was engaged in the manufacturing of brass.
2. The industry has installed one crucible furnace cover with hood for capture of process emissions. Hood is attached with wet scrubber as APCD with adequate stack height, all were in operation during the visit. Oil was being used as fuel in furnace and very negligible emissions were observed during the visit. The industry has submitted the air emissions analysis report from the approved lab of the Board, as per the analysis report PM are 114 mg/NM3 against the 150 mg/NM3 which are within the prescribed limits of the Board.
3. The industry has installed one D.G set of capacity 15 KVA, with canopy.
4. Domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.
5. The industry has submitted approved building plans from the approved person of the Directors of Factories, Punjab.
6. The industry is complying with the provisions under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. The site of the industry falls in Industrial zone as per Master Plan, Ludhiana (2007-2021), the industry has deposited the Rs. 900/- as NOC regularization fees, hence the site can be regularized.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2021 with usual conditions.
