It is submitted that the industry was visited surprisingly by the officer of the Board on 04/11/2016 and it was observed as under:
1. The unit was not in operation during the visit.
2. The settling tanks provided by the industry were lying filled with silt.
3. The system provided for re-circulation of process water was not in position.
4. The industry has not provided display board of size 6' x 4' as prescribed by the Board.
5. The silt/fine material produced in the settling tanks was not being disposed of in an environmentally sound manner as lot of silt was found filled in settling tanks and stored near ramp.
6. The industry has not provided water sprinkler system at its boundary as per norms fixed in the code of practice.
7. The industry has not provided chutes at the end of conveyor belts.
8. The industry has not provided adequate plantation along the boundary of the unit as mentioned in code of practice laid down by the Govt. vide order dated 17/03/1998 as amended on 01/02/2006.
In view of above, May if approved show cause notice for the refusal of application for renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 be issued to the industry due to the above mentioned violations after affording an opportunity of show cause.
