It is intimated that earlier the subject cited brick kiln had granted consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as amended in 1987 vide No. ASR/APC/2003/F-348 dtd 29/5/2003, valid up to 31/3/2017 with suitable conditions mentioned therein.
Now, the brick kiln has applied for obtaining of consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 under Orange Category. The brick kiln has deposited Rs. 15,000/- vide R.No. 95/4336 dated 14/12/2016 as consent fee under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 to make it adequate up to 30/09/2026 against the fixed assets below 25 Lac. The brick kiln has also deposited Rs. 1500/- vide R.No. 97/4336 dated 14/12/2016 as NOC regularization fee against the increased value of its fixed assets. The brick kiln has also submitted the undertaking through Ravi Kant Bansal, Partner of brick kiln regarding that the brick kiln is complying with the code of practice prescribed by the Board which is reproduced as under:-
1. I Ravi Kant Bansal S/o Sh. Sadhu Ram Bansal, R/o Vedant Nagar, Partner of M/s Luxmi Singla Brick Kiln Gram Udyog Samiti (Regd.), Village- Dhattal, Tehsil & District- Tarn Taran, do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:-
2. That I am permanent resident of above mentioned address.
3. That I am Partner of the firm namely of M/s Luxmi Singla Brick Kiln Gram Udyog Samiti (Regd.), Village- Dhattal, Tehsil & District- Tarn Taran.
4. That we have provided proper sample collection facility with stack of brick kiln.
5. That we have provided adequate plantation along the periphery/boundary of brick kiln.
6. That I am using crushed coal for burning purposes. We are not using any un-authorized fuel at our brick kiln.
7. That I am practicing laying of bricks in a staggered manner for baking to entrap maximum particulate matter at the source itself.
8. That we have provided septic tank(s) within premises of brick kiln for domestic effluent.
9. That we have stabilized the movement area/approach road within the premises of brick kiln.
The industry was visited by undersigned and observed that industry was in operation. The industry has provided sample collection facility with its stack to facilitate emission sample. The industry has stabilized its movement area within its premises. The industry has planted trees along its periphery in a single row.
It is further intimated that Punjab Pollution Control Board vide its order no. 346 dated 01/08/2016 has decided that Environmental Clearance for mining of brick earth will not be a pre-requisite for the grant of consent to operate to the brick kilns.
May if approved, consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be granted to the brick kiln for a period up to 30/09/2026 with suitable conditions. |
