It is intimated that earlier industry was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 ROH/NWN/APC/F-10 dated 27.06.2001 valid upto 26.06.2016 with conditions mentioned therein.
The industry has applied for consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 online through OCMMS. The industry has Deposited Rs. 15750/- vide receipt no. 34/4326 dated 16.12.2016 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Rs. 500/- vide receipt No. 33/4326 dated 16.12.2016 as an application, which are now adequate upto 30.9.2026.
The industry was visited by AEE of the regional office on 21.12.2016 and observed as under:-
1. The brick kiln was not in operation during visit due to off season.
2. The brick kiln has adequate sampling arrangement with chimney.
3. The brick kiln has provided pulverizer for crushing of coal.
4. The brick kiln has provided pucca/stabilized with keri on the roads.
5. The brick kiln has required more plantation around the brick kiln.
In view of the above, it is recommended that: The consent to operate Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for the period upto 30.9.2026 with the usual terms & conditions and with following conditions:-
1) The BKO shall obtain environment clearance under EIA Notification for mining of brick kiln to be used as raw material for the manufacture of bricks. 2) The industry shall plant more trees around the boundary of the BKO within one month and shall got its emission sample analyzed from Board's lab/ approved lab of the Board. 3) The consent is not valid for getting power load from the PSEB and loan from the financial institution should not be imposed in the consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
4) The brick kiln will submit revised lease deed one month prior to the expiry of the same. If the brick kiln fails to submit the revised/extended lease deed one month prior to the expiry of the same, then the earlier consent fee deposited by the BKO will stand forfeited and the brick kiln will have to apply fresh consent alongwith the requisite consent fee.
