It is intimated that earlier the industry was visited by JEE of this office on 19.10.2016 and observed that the industry is operating its unit without consents of the Board. Thereafter, the industry was given personal hearing before the Environmental Engineer, Regional office on 23.11.2016, wherein it was decided that:-
1. The industry will apply for the consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 with requisite documents, within 10 days.
Now, the industry has applied for ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith documents through OCMMS under orange category. The consent fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30.9.2021.
Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 21.12.2016 and it was observed that:-
1. The industry is a cattle feed unit.
2. The industry has installed 01 grinder machine, 01 mixer machines, 01 conveyer and 01 pellet machine.
3. The industry is discharging its domestic effluent onto land for plantation through septic tank.
4. The site of the industry falls in Focal Point, Khanna.
5. The industry has submitted approved building plan from the Competent Authority.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that the consent under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.9.2021 with appropriate conditions.
