It is intimated that, a show cause notice for violations of the provisions Water Act, 1974 was issued to the industry alongwith an opportunity of personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer on 09.12.2016 and after hearing it was decided as under :-
1. The industry shall maintain record of water consumed and effluent given to M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana.
2. The industry shall plug its outlet into sewer, if any.
3. Environmental Engineer, Regional Office will verify the statement given by the industry.
4. Environmental Engineer, Regional Office will process the consent application on merit.
In compliance of hearing decision it is intimated that the site of the industry was visited by Er. Kuldeep Singh, AEE on 22.12.2016 and it was observed that the industry was in operation during the visit and was engaged in the process of powder coating of cycle parts trade effluent was being generated from pickling process, same was being stored into plastic storage tank of capacity 2000 Ltr, storage tank was full up to 12" out of total depth 60". The industry has provided water meter on its fresh water supply line in process area and reading of the same was 3040 Ltr. The industry has start maintaining the record of fresh water consumed in the process area and trade effluent lifted to M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd. Ludhiana. The industry is complying with the provisions under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 and hearing decisions.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2021 with usual conditions
