The industry has applied for renewal of consents. The industry is located at Jalandhar Bye-pass Ludhiana. It was granted consent with condition that the industry shall either become member of the upcoming CETPs at Tajpur Road, Ludhiana or shall upgrade the ETP to ZLD technology within 6 months. The industry has not submitted compliance to the above condition nor has given any proposal for shifting to some other area like Focal Point or Tajpur Road dyeing complex or near Bahadurke Road where it can easily become the member of upcoming CETP. Further, the recent sampling dated 07-12-2016 or trade effluent failed to achieve the prescribed standards for textile industries. The industry has not submitted the analysis report of stack emission for wood fired boiler. Further, the industry is required to submit the details of machinery installed for washing purposes along with the liquor ratio and the other waste water minimization efforts made by it like steam condensate/cooling water recovery (if applicable). In view of the above, if approved, a show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate of the board both under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be issued to the industry along with an opportunity of personal hearing before SEE, ZO-2, Ludhiana please. |
