File Note: The details of the case are given in the note of AEE,which may kindly be perused. It is also submitted that in the letter issued vide no. 26-38/CGWA/NGT/2016-645 dated 26/04/2016 by the CGWA to the five states, it has been mentioned as under: "The Boards are requested to direct the industries/ project (existing/ new) using ground water to take NOC from the CGWA in accordance with the directions of Hon'ble NGT. While approaching CGWA for NOC the industries/ projects will have to submit a valid consent to operate from SPCB and water quality analysis report and the applications (hard copy) are to be submitted through SPCB. Industries/ project approaching SPCB may be advised to refer to CGWA website for submitting online application for NOC". In light of facts mentioned in the said note, it is recommended that: 1. Consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the marriage palace, upto 30.09.2020, subject to suitable conditions and following additional conditions: i. The marriage palace shall obtain permission from CGWA for abstraction of ground water, within 03 months and shall submit the same to the Board 15 days ,thereafter. ii. The marriage palace shall ensure that all the wastewater being generated from its premises shall be treated in the septic tank and shall be used for irrigation of green lawns developed within the premises and green area developed along all the boundary walls of the marriage palace. No wastewater shall be discharged outside the premises of the marriage palace for stagnation. And the marriage palace shall ensure that no nuisance is created in the vicinity due to its activities. 2. A copy of the consent to be granted to the marriage palace may be sent to the CGWB,Bhujal Bhawan,Sector 27,Chandigarh.
