It is intimated that earlier the industry was granted consent upto 30/06/2020. The industry was visited by officer of Regional office alongwith secintific staff on 21/02/2016 to collect the trade effluent & air emission sample. During visit it was observed as under:- 1. 1. The industry was in operation at the time of visit. 2. The ETP of the industry was not in operation. As per physical condition various components were not in operation from long. Only lime dosing has been provided to ETP and other chemical dosing tanks were found empty. 3. The industry has not maintained record of operation of ETP of February month and only record has been maintained till 31 January. 4. No effluent was seen coming out of ETP at the time of visit. 5. The EMF meter provided by the industry has been provided at the outlet of first roughning filter and no water meter is provided at final ou Accordingly consent was revoked and directions were issued u/s 33-A of Water Act 1974 direction to seal the water & air polluting machinery of the industry. Now, the industry has applied for consent . The industry was visited on 22/05/2017:- 1. During visit air & water pollution machinery of the industry i.e. 04 nos. jigger, 01 no. thermopac, 01 no. boiler & 09 nos. jet dyeing machines were sealed . 2. The industry is engaged in the process of printing & dyeing of Grey Fabrics. 3. 1. The industry has installed ETP comprising components equalization cum dozing tanks (02 nos.), flocculator, tube settler, up-flow roughening filter-1, biological aeration tank with integrated clarifier, up-flow roughening filter-2, treated effluent sump, final outlet. The industry has now made all components operational. The industry has now provided chemical dosing of ferrous sulphate, lime and poly electrolyte. 2. The industry has installed EMF meter at the outlet of first roughening filter. As per the representative the EMF cannot be installed at the final outlet of ETP, as the effluent in the pipe line carrying treated effluent flows by gravity and EMF does not work on this pipe line. 3. The industry is now maintaining record of operation of ETP. RO has made recommendation that:- 1. The Consent to operate be granted to the industry for six months period as per policy of the Board so the industry be monitored during this period with a special condition that the industry shall provide EMF at the outlet of ETP. 2. Directions be issued for de-sealing of plant & machinery of the industry. As the industry has removed earlier violations so it is proposed that, 1. consent be granted for six months and RO be asked to monitor it including sampling as per policy of the Board and submit report and recommendations well within these six months, 2. De-sealing of machinery also be ordered for six months as above please. It is further proposed that BG submitted by the industry of 3 lacs . whole or the partial be en-cashed for violation/ pollution caused by it. |
