The industry is engaged in pickling process. Not a water intensive unit and water is added for dilution of sulfuric acid or rinsing purposes. Total agreement with the reprocessor is 9000 Ltr/month which is equivalent to 360 Ltr/day. Total domestic effluent is 200 Ltr/day. The industry has a municipal supply. However, it is located in the M.C. Limit. There is no clear guidelines whether such units having M.c. supply also required to obtain CGWA permission.
Regional Office has recommended the consent for long term i.e. upto 30-06-2020. In view of the above, consent may be granted with special condition that the industry will obtain the permission from CGWA, if covered under the ambit of the provisions of CGWA. The Board will not be responsible for any lose, in case the CGWA will prohibit the abstraction/use of water on account of non-obtaining of such permission. Further, the Regional Office to carry out the audit of the industry within 2 months please. |
