The industry is a small scale green category unit. The industry was given personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer on 23.03.2017 at Zonal office Jalandhar wherein it was decided as under:-
1. The industry shall apply for consent to operate of the Board under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 as amended in 1988 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as amended in 1987 within 07 days.
2. The Regional Office Jalandhar shall process the consent applications on the merit.
Now the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 15.06.2017 and it was observed that the industry was in operation during visit and is engaged in the manufacturing of Paints and its allied items @ 300 kgs/day. There is no source of trade effluent generation and only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer. The industry has installed 2 no oil fired heating furnaces with adequate stack heights. The site of the industry falls in general industrial zone as per certificate issued by DTP Jalandhar vide letter no 1412 dated 28.02.2017. The industry has submitted approved building plan from architect approved by Director of Factories, Punjab.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2021 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
