It is submitted that Regional Office has forwarded the case for grant of consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 to the palace as per the details mentioned in the agenda note. The agenda note has been examined & observed as under:-
1. Consent to operate under the Water Act,1974 & Air Act,1981 were granted to the marriage palace under green category vide nos. Moga/W/1/249/F-189 & Moga/W/1/423/F-189 dated 09.05.2006 which were expired on 08.05.2007. Thereafter, the marriage palace has failed to get the extension in validity of consents.
2. The marriage palace has applied for consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 under orange category and has submitted all the requisite documents.
3. The marriage palace was visited by officer of Regional Office on 16.06.2017 and it was observed that:
a) The palace has 01 number functional hall of capacity of 400 persons, however no function was being carried out at the time of visit.
b) The palace has installed waste water treatment facility to treat the domestic effluent generated from kitchen section & sanitation section (i.e. oil & grease trap for kitchen section and septic tank for toilet section). Arrangement for treatment of waste water is oil & grease trap followed by septic tank.
c) The marriage palace has developed 01 Kanal area of land as per Karnal Technology adjoining to its premises which is adequate.
d) The palace has made sufficient plantation along its boundary wall.
e) The palace has provided arrangement for collection / scientific disposal of municipal solid waste generated from the palace premises
f) The palace has not installed any D.G sets within its premises.
g) The palace has complied with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981
Regional Office has recommended that consents to operate under the Water Act,1974 & Air Act,1981 may be granted to the marriage palace for a period upto 30.09.2021, subject to the suitable conditions.
If approved, consents to operate under the Water Act,1974 & Air Act,1981 may be granted to the marriage palace for a period upto 30.09.2021, subject to the suitable conditions please.
