The industry was earlier granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 vide no. ZO-1/LDH/RO-1/WPC/2013/V-4254 dated 31.01.2013 valid up to 30.06.2017 & under Air Act, 1981 vide no. ZO-1/LDH/RO-1/APC/2013/V-3247 dated 31.01.2013 valid up to 30.06.2017. The industry has now applied for renewal of Consent to Operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. The industry was visited by officer of this office on 29.06.2017 & observed as under:
1. The industry was in operation during visit & engaged in general forging.
2. The industry does not generate any trade effluent & the domestic effluent is discharged into sewer.
3. The industry has installed 3 no. oil fired forging furnaces of capacity 06 TPD each. Each forging furnace is provided with hood and stack of adequate height. An Air emission sample was collected by M/s SIMA Lab from the stack attached with two of the forging furnaces on 22.05.2017. As per analysis report the conc. of SPM is within the prescribed limit of the Board.
4. The industry has installed 2 no. shot blast machines with inbuilt bag filter house as APCD attached with stack of adequate height.
5. The industry has installed 2 no. electric based induction heaters.
6. The industry has installed 1 no. DG set of capacity 250 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height. Another, D.G set of capacity 165 KVA without canopy was lying disconnected and placed abandoned.
7. The gross fixed assets of the industry has increased from 3.89 cr. as on 31.05.2013 to 4.67 cr. as on 10.05.2017 with increased in plant and machinery from 2.03 cr. to 2.66 cr.. The industry has submitted adequate NOC regularization fee amounting Rs. 6000 vide Chq. No. 693209 dated 29.06.2017. The industry has added an induction billet heater and other non polluting machinery which has resulted increase in value of plant and machinery.
8. The industry is mentioned at Sr. no. R.O-I/LDH/WA/546 in the inventory maintained by Regional Office-1, Ludhiana.
9. The industry has already submitted approved building plans from competent person under Director of Factories, Punjab.
10. The industry is complying with the previous consent conditions granted to the industry under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.
In view of the above, it is recommended that, the 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be renewed upto 30.09.2021 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board please.
