File Note: It is submitted that the industry is dry rice sheller engaged in the processing of paddy @ 2.0 TPH and has obtained 'consent to operate' Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/PTA/2016/4489735 dated 11.10.2016 (valid upto 30.06.2017). Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate granted under Air (Prevention &Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry has already deposited Rs. 6000/- vide R.no. 68/4400 dated 31.08.2016 as air consent fee under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The consent fee already deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30.06.2021 against the fixed assets of Rs. 6.94 lacs as on 31.03.2017 as per CA certificate submitted by it. The industry has submitted analysis report of stack emission samples collected by the Board on 02.03.2017. As per the report, the particulate matter is 235 mg/Nm3, which is within permissible limits as prescribed by the Board. The industry has also submitted compliance report of the conditions of consent earlier granted to it. The industry was visited by the undersigned on 05.07.2017 and observed that: - i. The unit was not in operation due to off season. ii. The industry has installed cyclone as APCD to control the process emissions and dust emitting points were found connected with the I.D. fan of the APCD. iii. The industry has provided brick roads inside the premises for movement of vehicles so as to prevent the generation of dust. iv. The rice sheller has provided wall of adequate height and wind screen as per latest code of practice in the husk disposal area. v. The industry is not discharging any trade effluent, only domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation after its treatment through septic tank. The industry is complying with the code of practice notified by Govt. Notification no. 10/48/2004-STE (4) /932 dated. 15/10/2013 and conditions of consent granted to it under said act. Keeping above in view, it is recommended that consent to operate granted to the industry under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be extended upto 30.09.2020 with the conditions already imposed in the original consent letter.
