As advised by your goodself, tanning unit was visited by Er. Ravinder Bhatti AEE, Sh Tilakraj SDO PWSSB and Sh Kaushal, Sanitary Inspector, M.C Phillaur on 04.07.2017 and observed that the unit is having outlet from last liming tanks for byepass of effluent leading to open drain, further leading to stagnation in form of ponds at village Nangal. The president of the association was advised many times on telephone to ask these units to plug the bye pass. But the unit have still maintained bye pass to bye pass untreated effluent into drain ( pucca nallah) leading to stagnation in ponds of village Nangal. There are complaints from village Nangal regarding disposal of waste water from tanneries. If approved that consent under Water Act, 1974 may be refused to the industry. |
