It is intimated that the industry is a small scale, orange category, spray paint and PVC dip coating unit (File no 397). I had checked the documents uploaded by the industry personally and verified the same. I had personally checked the industry registration detail and found correct. The application is applied at Helpdesk.
The industry has earlier granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 vide no. No. R14JALCTOW799896 dated 11.03.2014 valid upto 30.06.2018 and No. R14JALCTOA799779 dated 11.03.2014 valid upto 30.06.2017 respectively.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. Rs. 6000/- Vide R/No. 39/4747 dated 14.06.2017 Water Act, 1974, and Rs. 6000/- Vide R/No. 40/4747 dated 14.06.2017 Air Act, 1981 which is adequate upto 30.06.2022.
The industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 01.07.2017 and observed that the industry was in operation. The industry is engaged the work of PVC Dip Coating on hand tools by using PVC compound (Plastisol) Pvt Resin/Stablizer Pigment color. The industry has installed 2 no. electric oven with adequate stack height. The industry has installed 2 no. powder coating unit and 1 no. of paint booth each with cyclone as APCD with adequate stack height. The industry has not installed any D.G set in the premises. The industry has not generated any trade effluent. Only domestic effluent discharged into M.C sewer. The industry falls in industrial area. The industry has submitted approved building plan from architect approved by Director of Factories, Punjab. (Copy attached below)
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 may be granted for the period upto 30.06.2022 with usual conditions. (Competency Senior Environmental Engineer)
