(R.O-II/LDH/CON/IND/1062): It is intimated that the industry is a small scale red category unit. The industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. R16LDH2CTOW3651158 dated 15.03.2016 and under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. R16LDH2CTOA3651160 dated 15.03.2016 which are valid upto 30.06.2019 under the name and style of M/s S.R. Steel Rolling Mills Lessee of Sulakhan Steel Industries, Peer Gajju Shah Road, Alour, Khanna.
Now the industry has been leased to Sh. Raghuvir Singh and the industry is operating in the name and style of M/s Shree Balaji Steel Industries Lessee of Sulakhan Steel Industries, Peer Gajju Shah Road, Alour, Khanna.
Accordingly, the industry has applied for consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 in its new name and style through OCMMS alongwith requisite documents. The industry has submitted copy of registered lease deed with M/s Sulakhan Steel Industries, which is valid upto 31.03.2020.
The site of the industry was visited by Er. Ravdeep Singh, AEE of this office on 01.08.2017 and it was observed as under :-
1. The industry was in operation during the visit and is engaged in the manufacturing of M.S. flat, bar.
2. The industry has installed one coal fired reverbratory furnace of capacity 05 TPD with multi cyclone separate and adequate height. The industry is using pulverized coal as fuel & the pulverizer is equipped with bag house as filter.
3. The industry has submitted stack emission sample analysis report from M/s IDMA Laboratories Limited, Haryana laboratory collected on 30.01.2016 and as per the analysis report the SPM level was 112.51 mg/NM3 against the prescribed limit of 150 mg/NM3.
4. There is no generation of trade effluent. Only domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation. Entire cooling water is re-circulating.
5. The industry has provided storage room of size 6'x5'x10' to store hazardous waste & around 320 kg of hazardous waste was stored in the room.
6. The site of the industry falls in industrial zone.
Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted up to 31.03.2020 (i.e. upto lease period) with usual conditions.
