The industry has applied for consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for operation of unit to produce raw rice / sorted rice 5 TPH with dryer on the name of M/s Naaj Agro Foods. The case of the industry has been scrutinized and it was observed that the earlier consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 were granted to the industry for operation of unit to produce saila rice @ 24 TPD on the name of Sachdeva Agro Industries which has been expired on 11.04.2002 after this the directions were issued to the industry u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 for closure of the industry vide letter no. 12735 dt. 03.12.2004 alongwith directions to PSPCL authority to disconnect the electric authority. As the industry has failed to comply with the provisions of Water Act, 1974.
Now, the industry has applied for consent to operate for operation of unit to produce raw rice @ 5 TPH with dryer by increasing its capacity from 24 TPD (1 TPH) without obtaining NOC of the Board. Moreover, the industry has not submitted any certificate from competent authority for suitability of site to regularize its additional machinery. Further, the industry has not submitted any documentry proof regarding adequacy of APCD installed with expanded capacity plant. The industry also not submitted any documentry evidence regarding dismantled / removed its parboiling section from the premises.
If approved, the case may be returned to the industry with request to resubmit the above alongwith above mentioned requisite documents.
