The industry was earlier granted consent under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 up to 30/06/2019 & CTO under Air Act, 1981 valid upto 30.06.2018 for production of Hand Tools @ 2 Ton/day. The industry was found violating provisions of Water Act, 1974 & CTO under Water Act, 1974 was revoked & directions u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 was confirmed for closure unit along with directions to PSPCL to disconnect the electric connection. Accordingly, PSPCL disconnected the electric connection vide TDCO no. 163/81966 dated 17.07.2017 & D.G. Set installed by the industry also sealed by the EE, RO. Now the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act 1981 for production of Hand Tools @ 1 Ton/day. EE, RO reported that the industry has made already agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana of quantity 7500 Ltr/month. The industry has provided water meter on the water supply line in the process area and maintained the record of water consumed in the process and effluent lifted by M/s JBR Tech. The industry has installed 1 no. electric fired tempering furnace, 2 no. gas fired rotary furnaces, 1 furnace oil fired baby boiler, 2 no. shot blasting machines with inbuilt bag house as APCD, 3 no. gas fired forging furnaces and 2 oil fired furnaces with adequate stack height & 1 no. D.G. set with acoustic room. EE, RO reported that the industry is complying with the provision of Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981. Now EE, RO neither reported the closure of bye-pass arrangement nor comment upon the repair of floor due to which T.E. was seepage into ground. May if approved case be returned to EE, RO with request to resubmit the case after attending the above said observations and also enclose visit report dated 10.08.2017. |
