It is intimated that the industry was granted consent to establish (NOC) vide no. CTE/Fresh/Hsp/2017/4846640 dated 12.01.2017 valid upto 11.01.2018 with conditions mentioned therein. Thereafter, the industry was applied for consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and same were refused as the industry had started its operation without obtaining consent to operate of the Board and without installing pollution control devices.
Now the industry has applied for consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 &Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 online through OCMMS with requisite documents. The industry has already deposited Rs. 30000/- vide r. no. 17/4602 dated 25.07.2017 as Water consent fee, Rs. 30000/- vide r. no16/4602 dated 25.07.2017 as Air consent fee, Rs. 500/-vide receipt No. 15/4602 dated 25.07.2017 as form fee which is adequate for the period up to 30.6.2022. The industry has submitted Application form, CA Certificate, Compliance Report, Partnership deed & approved building plan of the industry.
It is intimated that the industry was visited by the JEE of this office on 15.09.2017 and it was observed that
1) The industry was not in operation during visit. The industry will be engaged in buffing & frosting of pressure cookers bodies on job basis.
2) The industry has already installed machinery for the operation. There are 10 No. buffing machines and one frosting section installed.
3) The industry has provided ETP for the treatment of trade effluent generated from the frosting section. The treated effluent will be discharged into PSIEC Sewer. The industry was discharging domestic effluent into PSIEC sewer.
4) The industry has installed common APCD with the buffing section and has provided stack of adequate height.
In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2021 with usual terms and conditions and special condition that that the industry will get samples analyzed from Board’s Lab within three months.
