The details of the case are given in the proceedings attached online by the Regional Office, which may kindly be perused. The Regional Office has recommended as under;
1. The contractor may be asked to apply again for renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
2. The validity of consents granted under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 to M/s Harsimran Singh, be extended for further a period of six months, subject to same terms and conditions. Submitted for approval.
It is pertinent to mention here that the earlier granted CTO under Water and Air Act has been expired since 28/07/2017 and the validity of E.C. granted to the contractor is valid upto 19/02/2020. In view of above, if approved, Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar be allowed to extend the validity of earlier granted consents for further a period of six months, subject to same terms and conditions. Also, Regional Office shall appraise the Hon'ble Court in compliance to the order passed by the Hon'ble Court on 08/11/2016 in the said CWP, please, Competency : CEE).
