It is submitted that the Brick kiln has applied online for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for manufacturing of Bricks & Tiles @ 15,000 No./day. The Brick kiln has deposited Rs. 9000/- vide R.No. 17/4464 dated 22.09.2017 as consent fee under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. The fee deposited by the Brick kiln is adequate upto 03.01.2022 as per CA certificate showing the value of fixed assets of Rs. 18.32 (inclusive of land lease amount for 05 years) as on 15.09.2017 submitted by the BKO.
The brick kiln was visited on 27.09.2017 to verify the facts mentioned in the application and found that the brick kiln is generating domestic effluent @ 1.0 KLD onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank. The brick kiln has already developed plantation area to utilize its treated wastewater onto land for plantation.
Keeping in view of the above, if approved, the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2018 subject to the usual conditions as per policy of Board and additional condition(s) that: -
1. This consent is valid up to 30.09.2018.
2. The industry shall comply with the provisions of notification no. S.O. 763(E) dated 14.9.1999 as amended from time to time of the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India, New Delhi.
3. The BKO shall stack its bricks in a zig-zag manner for baking so as to entrap particulate matter at source.
4. The BKO shall discharge only domestic effluent onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank. |
