The project contractor has applied for the Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air(Prevention & Control of Pollution)Act, 1981 for the mining of minor minerals i.e. sand@21060 ton/year in the area of 3.157 hectare, village mandhala, hadbast no 251, tehsil Nawanshahr Dist SBS Nagar. The Project proponent has submitted declration/undertaking for the e-auction. A letter has been issued by General Manager cum Mining Officer, DIC, Distt. Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar vide Memo No. 1635 dated 2.08.2017 as per which transfer of environment Clearence to the project contractor (Sh Sunil Kumar Joshi S/o Dharam Pal Joshi Vill Bungal Tehsil & Distt Pathankot. The project proponent has submitted permission from GMDIC distt SBS Nagar letter no. 1400 dated 6.07.2017 and letter from Director Mining, DIC chandigarh for the approval of mining site at village Lallewal vide no. 1671-B dated 6.07.2017.
The project mining contractor has deposited Rs. 12000/- vide R. No. 54/4669 dated 9/10/2017 as Water Consent Fees & Rs. 12000/- vide UTR No. N271170376232667 dated 28/09/2017 as Air Consent Fees. The fees is adequate for the one year. The site was visied by AEE of this office on 9.10.2017 and observed that the site was located in village Mandhala. The project proponent has not started any construction work at site.The project proponent has not demarcated the area.
Keeping in view, of the above if approved the Consent to Operate under Water( Prevention & Control of Pollution)Act, 1974 & Air(Prevention & Control of Pollution)Act, 1981 may be granted for the period upto 30.06.2018 with the usual conditions along with special conditions as under:-
The project mining contractor will comply with the general conditions as imposed in the Environmental clearance vide no. SEIAA/MS/2015/1464 dt. 5.03.2015.
