It is submitted that the project proponent (Contractor) has applied for the obtaining consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS for the mining of minor minerals i.e. Sand @ 18500 TPA in total area 2.8 Hectare) in the revenue estate of Village-Adalatgarh, Tehsil & Distt-Pathankot).
The Member Secretary DEIAA Pathankot vide its letter no. 1693 dated 29.09.2017 has transferred the Environmental Clearance in the name of contractor - Amit Mahajan S/o Sh Adarsh Mohan, Near Kali Mata Mandir Kolluwalli Gali, Pathankot for river bed mining of sand located at Village-Adlatgarh, Tehsil & Distt-Pathankot for 18,500 TPA (2.8 Ha) for a period upto 03.02.2020.
The project mining contractor has deposited Rs. 18000/- vide DD No. 001025 dated 10/10/2017 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 18000/- vide UTR No. P170049495178 dated 04/10/2017 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 respectively against the project cost i.e. Rs. 9,12,91,000/-, which are adequate for one year period under both Acts. `
In view of above, if approved the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto the period of 30/06/2018 for the mining of minor mineral @ @ 18,500 TPA, (2.8 Hectare) with the usual conditions along with special conditions as under:-
1. The project mining contractor will adhere the conditions imposed in the certificate of e-auction issued by Mining Officer, Pathankot .
2. The Board will be at its liberty to revoke the consents if any complaint from the any quarter or document/submission not found in line.
3. The project mining contractor will adhere the specific as well as general conditions as imposed in the Environmental clearance.
4. The project mining contractor will adhere the conditions imposed by the Member Secretary DEIAA in its letter no. 1693 dated 29.09.2017.
5. The project proponent shall comply with Punjab Minor Minerals Rules.
6. The project proponent shall obtain permission from the others concerned department.
